Trend Alert! Gold Rush & Pop of Sexy

It seems that with such an ease summer has come and is already leaving us. I feel like it was just a couple of days ago that the summer breeze started to hit me up and now all of the sudden I find myself in the middle of transition and awaiting fall. With every season comes great responsibility to follow up on the latest trends (that is for us the fashion lovers). So I owned up to what I should do and started to do some research on shoe trends and what I’m looking forward to this upcoming fall/winter. I found myself loving two very different & yet very exciting groups which I very lovingly named Gold Rush & Pop of Sexy.

Black & gold represent glam in all its expression. Its infinite power of looking so impacting every time it hits the retail stores shelves is amazing. We all know black goes with everything and we should all also know that gold is the most amazing metallic color to ever exist. Come together we have the perfect combination which will never look old or so yesterday. From platform pumps to beautiful wedges we have very detailed styles that bring out the sexy and feminine side of us. Dare to dream & feel like a hot trendy blogger and a Hollywood pinup hottie at the same time with these styles I picked out to represent this trend.

Then again black may seem boring to some adventurous, fashion-savvy consumers and they might be expecting something different for fall. Well guess what? I have just what you want; its time to mix and match seasons and bring some color to the old fashioned fall/winter pallete. Here comes pop of sexy. From full on red wedges to color blocking Mary Jane’s & sky high stilettos we have a mix of berry colors that will leave you breathless and give you that extra push every day so days aren’t so cold during this season. Why didn’t anybody think of this? Imagine bright orange and pink stilettos on October 29th. Take my word on it, you will feel alive.

Styles available online only at www.novushoes.com pre-fall preview sale.

All You Need is Beauty

What’s the first thing that pops into your mind when you see the word power? We usually think about super heroes and all their special abilities to do the impossible. If we mix that with the female figure you instantly have Wonder Woman with super stamina and flying powers that could take here anywhere in seconds. Well, since she’s not your usual lady Puerto Rican designer Stella Nolasco didn’t think this would be a good blend so she chose to present her Autumn/ Winter  2012 collection representing beauty as the ultimate power. If you come to think about it beauty represents glamour and gorgeousness which equals strength that turns into power. She presented her collection “Beauty is My Power” at the Ritz Carlton Hotel & Casino.

Her inspiration went from mythical characters that represented what beauty could attain to far away princesses in their kingdoms waiting for Prince Charmin to cross their path. After the exquisite cocktail the main doors opened to the public. With no ordinary catwalk the room was decorated in hand made chairs floating in the center and precious chandeliers. The runway had an oval shape that rounded the entire room while in the middle you had the feeling of a castle bundled with all its fragments. Chairs, garden ornaments, jewelry boxes where among the article that you could regard and make your own little story of what the designer was going to show you and her story of beauty.

Once the models started coming out in long extravagant gowns you could see all the details from the garments to the hair to the accessories each one of them was transmitted. All the models came out bearing different variations of braided hairstyles which was very ancient and royal like. On top of those exquisite braided styles most of them had delicate and refined head pieces with jewels and stones. Also most of them hadHollywoodglamorous glasses. The garments were very womanly and represented strength in all its potential. Some of the models walked down the runway with words on their bodies painted on with red lipstick saying ‘I Love Stella’. The entire collection had a variety of color but most of all they were all very feminine ensembles in different styles. The designer had her big finale with a wedding gown and a groom. The story related completely until the happy ending. I am a true believer in happy fairytale endings and she brought it all to the table.

The shoes can be found at La Favorita stores.
